Fall River Open Studios: The Inagural
Artists across the city will open their studios to the public on Saturday, May 9th, 2009, from 11 am to 4 pm. Trollies will shuttle from one point to another in a continuous loop throughout the afternoon and the Hills Mills Clown Band will serenade the riders. A diverse group of artists has been moving into Fall River in search of safe, affordable studio space and over 50 will join in presenting their art to the public on this second Open Studios tour in Fall River. One group has colonized the whole third floor of 1 West Street. Another group has just opened a high-end woodworking studio in the old mill building at 192 Anawan St.. More artists are moving into empty storefronts downtown as part of the Storefront Artists Project.
