Fall River Historical Society

Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 05/25/2010 to 08/31/2010 – 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

The Fall River Historical Society has reopened for the season.

Visitors are invited to view the largest known collection of Lizzie Borden memorabilia, housed in the elegant 19th century granite mansion at 451 Rock St.

There is a museum shop, also open, and Victorian gardens now in bloom.

Tours are given every hour except at noon. Weekend hours will be added in June.

Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 14. Members may visit for free with one guest. Group rates are available.

Founded in 1921, the Fall River Historical Society's mission is to preserve and protect all manner of artifacts relating to the rich and varied history of the city of Fall River, Massachusetts.

The Historical Society is housed in a granite mansion, built in 1843 in the Greek Revival style for Andrew Robeson, Jr., a prominent businessman.

A one-time station on the Underground Railroad, the house was to change hands several times over the next quarter century.
