The first annual “Evening to Paws” Gala to benefit the Faxon Animal Shelter takes place at McGovern’s Restaurant in Fall River. The annual fundraiser boasts an impressive array of Silent and Live Auction Items, an open bar, appetizers, gourmet food stations, and scrumptious desserts.
Tickets cost $50 per person.
The night’s festivities will include the recognition of outanding people in the business community who have been involved in community service and who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to make their community a better place. The following businesses will be recognized with the Golden Paws Award: Bank Five, Jeff Marques of Mallard Printing, and the Rev. Robert Lawrence. The Platinum Paws Award, the most prestigious recognition given by the League, will be awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Sue and Neil Van Sloun.
