Friends and family of the late Jim Haskins will hold a benefit to raise funds for a scholarship in his name. A Follies Review to Benefit the Jim Haskins Memorial Scholarship Fund will feature dinner and entertainment inspired by past Fall River Rotary Follies in addition to a presentation by the Apponequet Regional High School Choir.

The historic and majestic Eagle Restaurant, modeled to resemble steamship saloons on the once-great Fall River line, was rebuilt in 1929 after the city's traumatic downtown fire.
Presently the Donovan family has refurbished the former Eagle Restaurant by removing the 1980's bar in the center of the main oval-shaped hall, installing a new hardwood floor, and refurbishing the wooden stage for bands and disc jockeys to its original form and materials.
Some 20 booths for 4-6 people ring the main floor with wood inlayed high ceilings and tall windows giving a majesty to the premises.
There is parking for 50 vehicles behind the building on Purchase St. and additional on-street parking on the weekends.
