A stellar lineup of local, regional and national musical acts, children’s activities and high quality art highlight this Sunday’s 9th Annual Narrows Festival of the Arts.
As a testament to the popularity of the annual arts festival, the outdoor music, arts sale, and activities at this year’s family-friendly event have been relocated down the street from the Narrows Center for the Arts at the Gates of the City to accommodate the crowds. The free event, he said is a microcosm of the highly regarded music and arts shows that the center stages throughout the year.
In addition to live music, the festival also features 35 juried arts vendors selling original products such as children’s clothes, jewelry, beeswax products, ceramics, photography, hand-made baskets, sculptures and an array of other products. Local area non-profit organizations and city restaurants will be selling baked goods and a variety of fare including seafood and Portuguese food.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. youngsters will also get a taste of the arts through the festival’s partnership this year with the rolling Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River.
